Schools Music Workshop,

We’ll be delivering a schools music workshop covering music from North America, South America, Latin America and the Caribbean including Cuba and Jamaica. We’ll demonstrate a whole range of styles from Cuban son, brazilian samba, argentinian tango, andean music, North Amercian bluegrass banjo, Colombian Cumbia, New Orleans Carnival and more on the following instruments: guitar, sax, cuban tres guitar, banjo, flute, brazilian samba percussion, accordion, New Orleans rubboard, cavaquinho, andean charango, cuban claves. It’ll be an interactive session with pupils joining in and learning some rhythms as well as discussing cultural influences generally form the Americas.
