DESCRIPTION:We’re really excited about this project: we’ve been commissioned by Hull City Arts Development Team  to write new music\, and will be performing along with some other fantastic musicians\, as part of Hull Jazz Festival. As Mambo Jambo we love all sorts of music and don’t want to confine ourselves to playing only one genre! And writing new music with Joe Martin\, our old friend that we love playing with\, has been a joy!\nThe event is on from 12 noon to 5pm\, and our 20 minute slot is at 3pm. It’s free\, and it’s at The Albemarle Music Centre\, Hull \nhttps://hulljazzfestival.co.uk/event/out-of-the-box/ \nArtists appearing include: \n12 noon Graziana Presicce with Stewart Baxter: Intermundia (classical piano and electro) \n1pm Josh Overton\, Kobby Taylor & Aaron Green: The Battle of Blair Mountain (hip-hop meets C&W) \n2pm Stephanie Halsey (harp) with Beats Bus; Kobby Taylor: Our Love (love story inspired by Maya Angelou & Elizabeth Browning \n3pm Frankie Banham\, Pete Jack & Joe Martin: Mambo Jambo (a wildly eclectic mix of latin\, jazz\, folk\, Balkan and classical fusion flavoured by flamenco rhythms!) \n4pm Samatar Elmi with local singers: A Darker Light (spoken word and choral arrangements)
